Sometimes, life has a funny way of putting things on hold. Back in 2019, there was a plan — a big one. The country’s beloved “sessionistas” — Ice Seguerra, Nyoy Volante, Sitti, Duncan Ramos, Princess Velasco, Kean Cipriano and Juris — are coming together for a once-in-a-lifetime reunion.
This iconic group of musicians we grew to love on Sunday noontime show ASAP, were all set for a reunion concert. But just as everything was falling into place, the pandemic hit, and the world paused.
Fast forward to 2025, and the timing couldn’t be better. The world has changed, but one thing hasn’t: the friendship that binds Ice Seguerra, Nyoy Volante, Sitti, Duncan Ramos, Princess Velasco, Kean Cipriano, and Juris. Their ASAP segment may have ended years ago, but their connection didn’t. In fact, it’s grown even stronger, proving that their magic goes beyond the stage.
Here’s what makes these sessionistas special: they didn’t just move on with their lives after the segment ended. They stayed in touch, supported each other’s individual journeys, and made it a point to meet up at least once a year.
Sure, it wasn’t always easy with their busy schedules, but they made it happen — because that’s what friends do.
From attending each other’s concerts to sharing laughs over dinners, their bond has always been more about friendship than fame. And when they got together for the photoshoot for their upcoming concert, it was like no time had passed.
“It was chaos — but the good kind,” one of them shared, laughing. “We were teasing each other, reminiscing, and just catching up. It was like a family reunion.”
You could see it in the way they interacted — there was no pretense, no ego. Just genuine affection and excitement to be back together.
Planning this concert wasn’t easy. Even after the pandemic restrictions were lifted, life kept throwing curveballs. Everyone had their own projects, commitments, and milestones. But the idea of a reunion never left their minds.
“It wasn’t about the fame or recreating the past,” Ice Seguerra said during an interview. “It was about coming together to celebrate what we had and what we still have — a bond that’s rare in this industry.”
And so, after years of waiting, the Sessionistas are finally making it happen. On February 8, 2025, at The Theatre at Solaire, they’ll take the stage for “Love, Sessionistas: A Pre-Valentine Concert,” a night filled with music, laughter, and a whole lot of heart.
Expect moments of nostalgia as they take you back to the days when they just started being formed as a group. You’ll hear the songs that defined their time together, and you’ll also get to see how far they’ve come individually. There will be new songs, personal stories, and even a segment where they perform songs inspired by fan submissions.
And knowing this group, there will definitely be surprises. Maybe a little genre-swapping? Perhaps a hilarious banter session? Whatever it is, you can bet it’ll be entertaining.
What makes this concert truly special is the heart behind it. It’s a celebration of friendship, love, and the power of music to bring people together.
“I think what makes us unique is that we’re so different,” Kean said.
“But when we’re together, it just works. It’s like we become this one crazy, amazing entity.” Nyoy quipped.
And that’s the thing about the Sessionistas. They’re not just a group of artists thrown together for a show. They’re a family — a beautifully mismatched, wonderfully chaotic family.
For Sitti, it’s about the memories they’ve built over the years. “We’ve waited together, performed together, and supported each other through so much. Love, sessionistas is exactly that — a love letter to each other and to our fans.”
