MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte on Wednesday said there is no patching things up with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. who was her running mate in the 2022 elections.
“I really believe that we have reached the point of no return,” Duterte said in a press briefing on Wednesday afternoon at the Office of the Vice President’s Western Mindanao Satellite Office in Zamboanga.
“And it is clear…(that) they are really going after me at gusto talaga nila akong tanggalin sa posisyon (and they really want to remove me from office),”she said.
She added that Speaker Martin Romualdez is eyeing her post.
Duterte, in a fit of rage last week, said that she contracted an assassin to kill Marcos, first lady Liza Marcos-Araneta and Romualdez if something bad happened to her.
