MANILA, Philippines — Rain or Shine played steadier down the stretch as it overcome Terrafirma’s tough stand, 124-112, for its fourth straight win in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup, Sunday evening at the Philsports Arena.

ROS uncorked a 13-0 run in the final minutes of the last period to deal the knockout blow against a Terrafirma side that was looking to end its string of losses this conference.

The Elasto Painters improved to 4-1 overall. On the other hand, the Dyip slumped to 0-7, their hopes for a playoffs practically dashed.

Import Deon Thompson led Rain or Shine with 23 points and 17 rebounds, while issuing four assists, two steals, and a block.

Guard Adrian Nocum fired 17 of his 21 points in the second half, while grabbing seven rebounds, and a pair of assists, en route to securing the Player of the Game honors.

Andrei Caracut added 15 points, while Santi Santillan and Anton Asistio chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Brandon Edwards led Terrafirma with 26 points.
