MANILA, Philippines — The San Beda Red Lions mauled the EAC Generals to the tune of 30 points, 89-59, at the FilOil EcoCentre on Wednesday to move on the cusp of a Final Four berth in the NCAA Season 100 men’s basketball tournament.

Avenging its first round loss to EAC, San Beda got off to a good start and then broke the game wide open in the third frame to go 10-5, third place in the standings, and move one win closer from securing a semifinal berth.

The Red Lions shut down the Generals to only six points in the third canto while scoring 18 of their own to pull away.

San Beda never let up in the final frame and built its biggest lead of 33 points, 89-56, following a Zane Jalbuena trey in the final 11 seconds.
