MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Laguna, Cavite, Quezon City, and Quezon province will have power interruptions this week because of various maintenance work, Meralco said Sunday.

Some areas in Balara, Quezon City will have no power from 11:30 p.m. on January 8 to 5:30 a.m. on January 9, and then again between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on January 9 because of the replacement of electricity poles, line reconductoring work, and replacement of facilities.

In Laguna, Meralco said some parts of Calamba will have no power on January 6, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. because of the installation of lightning protection devices while in Sta. Cruz, some areas will experience power interruptions between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on January 9 due to the installation of electricity facilities there.

On January 11 to January 12, some areas in Majayjay and Luisiana will have no power between 11 a.m. and 11:59 a.m., and then again between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. because of the replacement of facilities in the Meralco-Tayabas substation.

In Cavite, some parts of Mendez – Nuñez and Indang will have no power on January 8 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. because of the replacement of electricity poles and line reconstruction work.

In addition, some sections of Dasmariñas will also have no power between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. and then again between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on January 11 due to preventive maintenance and testing work in the Meralco-Abubot substation.

In Quezon province, some areas of Tayabas City, Lucban, and Sampaloc will have power interruptions between January 11 and January 12 between 11 a.m. and 11:59 p.m., and then again between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on January 12 because of maintenance work in the Meralco-Tayabas substation.
