FOUR notable Filipino artists and works in the feats of architecture, landscape architecture and interior design were recognized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) at the Haligi ng Dangal Awards 2024 held at the Metropolitan Theater on Sept.14, 2024.
With the theme “Diwa ng Likhang Pinoy: Yaman ng Matatag na Bayan, Dangal ng Nagkakaisang Lahi,” the ceremony highlighted the innovative Filipino nation through architecture and the allied arts, representing the spirit and values of the Filipino rooted in resilience, strength and ingenuity.
NCCA Chairman Victorino Manalo delivered the opening remarks.
The winners were Spin Hostel by Edwin Uy for Architecture; Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel Church Grounds by Vic Dul-Loog for Landscape Architecture; Agwas Bamboo Café by Sheryl Mariñas for Interior Design; and Casa Nuan by Kym Jaffina Pineda, People’s Choice.
