MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. wants to strengthen the collaboration among the law enforcement agencies to intensify the administration’s campaign against illegal drugs in the country, Malacañang said Tuesday.

Presidential Communications Secretary Cesar Chavez said that Marcos issued the directives during his meeting with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Department of Justice (DoJ), the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Malacañang on Monday.

“The President met with the DILG, DoJ, PDEA and PNP to strengthen the collaboration amongst the PDEA, PNP and NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) in the fight against illegal drugs yesterday afternoon,” Chavez said in a statement.
