MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed Cavite Gov. Juanito Victor ‘Jonvic’ Remulla Jr. as the new secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Malacañang said Tuesday.
Presidential Communications Secretary Cesar Chavez said Remulla was scheduled to take his oath before the President at 9:45 a.m. in Malacañang.
Remull will replace outgoing Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos, who launched his senatorial bid by filing his certificate of candidacy on Monday.
