MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will experience fair weather this Wednesday except for isolated downpours or thunderstorms brought by the easterlies, the state-run weather agency said.

Weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in a 5 a.m. advisory that they have not monitored any tropical cyclone inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility in the coming days.

He said it was the easterlies – winds coming from the east and passing through the Pacific Ocean that carry warm and humid weather – that were affecting Luzon and Visayas.

In particular, the weather system is bringing partly cloudy to overcast skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and Eastern Visayas, Pagasa said.

The rest of the country, meanwhile, will be experiencing localized thunderstorms, it added.
