MANILA, Philippines — Soon-to-be bride EJ Laure shares how she manages her busy schedule with an upcoming wedding in March, while also working with her team chemistry with new team Nxled.

The former Chery Tiggo star wore neon and black for the first time and chipped in eight points in a loss against Farm Fresh, 25-22, 26-24, 25-21, in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024-25 All-FIlipino Conference.

With the wedding preparations with her long-time partner and former child star Bugoy Cariño, and a goal to lift the Nxled from the 0-6 win-loss slump, Laure shared how important it is for her to find the balance in everything.

“I can’t attend the training sometimes, but I am doing extra work to catch up on all the missed training. If there are meetings regarding the wedding, I do it after the training,” she said.

“I am so excited since I am very hands-on with this wedding.”

Laure looks ahead as she will finally seal the deal with Cariño, who she has been seeing since 2016, when she was still playing with the University of Santo Tomas.

Laure and Cariño also have a daughter, Scarlett, who is now seven years old.

“Everything is okay, since I also have a wedding coordinator to handle all the other things that I am stressed about, so everything is okay,” she added.

Nxled looks to score its first win when it clashes against Akari on Thursday, Jan. 23.
