THE Cavite State University (CvSU) in Indang, Cavite hosted the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines Inc. (Aaccup) Bayanihan 2024 held at CvSU International Convention Center on Nov. 6 to 8, 2024,

According to CvSU Vice President for Research and Extension Melbourne Talactac, the Aaccup Bayanihan 2024 national conference was participated by university presidents and Aaccup accreditors of various state universities and colleges (SUCs) from different parts of the country.

This annual event enables professionals to attain comprehensive knowledge and approaches in the field of quality assurance and accreditation, maximizing their level of educational competency among higher education institutions (HEIs) amid the challenges and opportunities brought by the latest trends and developments in the digital era.

In its social media post, West Visayas State University Pototan Campus related that the three-day event brought together over 600 educational leaders and accreditors in the country.

“The first day of the conference discussed the evolving landscape of accreditation, focusing on Accreditation 4.0. key topic ‘How’s and Why’s of Accreditation 4.0,’ and the impact of Education 4.0 on accreditation processes. Participants also explored the importance of technological infrastructure in enhancing quality assurance and national initiatives to meet Accreditation 4.0’s rigorous requirements in higher education,” it said.

“On the second day, the conference addressed the readiness of SUCs for national and international recognition. Invited resource persons tackled the challenges technology posed in the accreditation process, and how personalized learning and accreditation intersected in the age of technology. Another highlight included discussions on collaborating with international external quality assurance agencies, an essential aspect of the global accreditation process.

“The third day focused on managing the stress of the accreditation efforts, emphasizing the importance of mindfulness and socialization among accreditors in their work. Accreditors’ Bayanihan 2024 provided a platform for knowledge exchange and networking, helping institutions strengthen their accreditation efforts in the face of advancing educational and technological trends,” WVSU concluded its post.
