MANILA, Philippines — College of Saint Benilde had more fuel to overcome the fiery fourth quarter run of San Sebastian College-Recoletos, 91-85, in the second round of the NCAA Season 100 men’s basketball tournament at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City on Sunday.

Allen Liwag showed dominance inside the paint and chipped in 18 markers, along with six rebounds to lift the Blazers.

Playing without sniper Tony Ynot, Ian Torres stepped up his performance and made 13 points, while Matthew Oli added 12.

In their first round meet, the Blazers committed 31 errors, and this time they limited their ball giveaways to 16.

San Sebastian played meticulously after tallying seven turnovers, however they were outscored in bench points, 38-18.

Paeng Are put up with 29 points, and Lauren Gabat added 21 but it was not enough to conquer Benilde.
