MANILA, Philippines — Jorick Bautista turned to his clutches anew as Far Eastern University outlasted Adamson in overtime, 76-72, in the UAAP Season 87 men’s basketball tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum Saturday.

Bautista sent the game into overtime with a late triple then poured nine of his total 21 points in the extra period to will the Tamaraws to their second win in eight games, bouncing back from their loss to UST last timeout for seventh place.

The 5-foot-11 Bautista also added six rebounds, two assists, and two steals but he wasn’t alone in carrying FEU past the Soaring Falcons.

Mo Konateh poured 13 points, four blocks, two steals, and a career and season-high 26 rebounds, one short of tying the league men’s record of 27 held by Justine Baltazar and Ange Kouame, helping the Tamaraws’ cause big time.

Adamson dropped to 3-5 at the fifth spot, losing three straight games.
