MANILA, Philippines — Filipina cue artist Rubilen “Bingkay” Amit confirmed that she qualified for the upcoming 2025 World Games, following a runner-up finish at the Asian 10-Ball Women’s Pool Championships in Doha, Qatar.
The 3-time world champion settled for a silver medal finish at the tournament finals, losing to Liu Shasha of China, 7-6.
“Finished 2nd in the Asian 10ball Women’s Pool Championships here in Doha, Qatar,” she wrote on her Facebook page.
“With this victory, I have qualified for the 2025 World Games in Chengdu, China,” Amit added.
Fellow Filipina cue artist Chezka Centeno also made the podium, finishing in bronze medal position with China’s Yu Han.
Amit joins the Philippine floorball and dragon boat teams, and Olympic boxer Hergie Bacyadan who qualified for the World Games, which are set to take place in Chengdu, China in August next year.
